The University of Life

I was once asked “Where did I study?” The conversation was being run by an Iraqi lady, a very lovely, intelligent lady.

She had three children, all qualified in their own field and herself in dentistry. Having grown up in Iraq and had to deal with not seeing her children for a number of years, the biggest gift she took from the western world was education.

Where did I study? My two friends had answered this question, university of such and such, university of what do you call it.

I answered ‘The University of Life.’  Where is that was my received reaction. I then explained that I am still attending and will continue to attend untill I have learnt everything, have come across every scenario known to man and survived or more likely when I am expelled.

Life is a learning curve, an uphill battle, a beautiful journey. X
